Whenever I have numerous applications open that are not pinned to the dock, for some reason they disappear when I summon the dock and then reappear when I hover over pinned dock icons. It is very annoying.

Also for some reason when I restart my computer, it freezes for roughly 10 seconds and then resumes back to normal.

That’s right, latte dock is no longer maintained. In the next release we will part with it.

Hit ESC to see what the log reports, check that all volumes in /etc/fstab are also attached.

BTW, we should only ever have one problem per thread.

Please one issue per topic.
These two at a quick glance seem absolutely unrelated and might require different troubleshooting, making support difficult and the topic unusable for future readers.
For the freeze, I suggest you collect journal and/or dmesg logs at around the freeze moment.
For latte dock, you know that it is now almost unmaintained and we are working on a replacement.
Anyway, you could maybe create a new user and try replicating the issue, in order to rule out possible KDE troubles in home config files.
Up to you which issue to continue here and create a new topic for the other.

Thank you for the help. For the freeze, could you please explain in more detail what I should do to fix the issue?

I can’t say at the moment.
First thing to do is to check the logs.
This is what I suggested, to start the troubleshooting process looking for the root causes of your issue.
This tutorial can be very useful. It contains also info to collect the logs.
It might seem complex at first sight, and often it is such (requires some Linux skills), but this type of issues necessarily requires the user dedication and self learning.
It is very uncommon to have a single command or a few to fix these issues.
Start with this and good luck. I’m mainly a moderator and I don’t think I’ll be able to follow the details much.
