They also know how to file a bug report.

Filing proper bug reports and troubleshooting the issue with a developer is tedious time consuming work. However, you can't expect much from free software if you're not willing to help out, and you certainly have no right to complain if you dont.

It can be really frustrating dealing with new Linux users fresh off the boat after fleeing Windows subjugation. The concept is so foreign to most Windows users that it is really hard to alter the "not my problem" mindset of those from the commercial OS worlds.

As the old saying goes, "You don't get nothing for nothing". If you expect to use free software you also have a responsibility to help improve it by filing bug reports. Don't bother complaining about bugs if you're not prepared to help resolve them.

To most seasoned Linux users filing bug reports is simply second nature. Windows users, not so much.

Working with developers can be fun. Helping out can also bring a sense of investiture.

This can be summed up as…the Linux community has very few ‘Karen’s’ and ‘Ken’s’ asking to see a manager, or as Apple likes to call them, a Genius Specialist (let that sink in,) as we don’t have those. No hand holding, no promises, no met schedules of said fix-it date…just bug reports. Oh the stank of it all!

Community (WITHOUT DICTATORSHIP) is best system where I would be happy to live. There are 3 major communities currently exist are :

  1. Auroville - India
  2. Acrosanti - USA
  3. Sacromonte - Spain

Out of these 3 Auroville is more advanced and developed. The people there are living without racism, religious beliefs and many more shits. Even I first time encountered with these communities in some news article last year. People here are free to do activities what they love.

Indian government not interfering anything in this beautiful city. People here are getting 5000 INR every month irrespective of who they are (doctors or engineers etc..). They believe in spiritualism but not any religion. Yes I hope that This is the future of the world. :slightly_smiling_face:

Absolutely love this to pieces…

Btrfs With Linux 5.16 Seeing More Performance Optimizations, NVMe ZNS

Btrfs with this new kernel continues seeing various performance optimizations. Logging improvements should yield around a 3% throughput improvement and up to 11% lower latency on a sample Dbench workload. There is also more efficient directory logging, speeding up of bulk insertions that can lead to lower bulk creation run time requirements and deletion time.

I hear the NSA is developing a similar bounty program, only the kernel exploits are never going to get patched. If Linus won't let you in through the front door, then use the servants entrance at the rear.
