Yesterday I was trying to dual boot garuda linux alongside windows that I’ve been using for about 3/4 years. I’ve never had performance issues while using windows OS but somehow since I installed garuda in my PC it is having many performance issues, fps are low, mouse stutters (it only happens when using garuda). I realized my CPU usage was very inconsistent and sometimes it jumps to around 80% of usage just by being in the desktop with nothing running. I first thought it was because I used a HDD (120 Gb) partition but then I changed to SSD (80 Gb) because some people were having the same issue with HDD, but the problem remains.
I’ve tried uninstalling the OS and reinstalling some times but nothing changed. I also noticed this issue doesn’t happen while using the flash drive. Aside from this my hz are stuck at 60 in the display settings and I cannot change to 165 (my monitor max).
I really enjoy using this OS (I’ve used it on my laptop for a while and never had issues with it), so I would really like to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading.
