I think Ankur was just making a joke based on the fact that your original comment was completely pointless. Maybe not an especially funny joke, but I don’t think there is any reason to be so defensive. If you were offended by that comment I think you took it the wrong way.

About that, I was thinking of getting a new keyboard lately, but I’d like something that isn’t mechanical or at least, something that is completely silent.
In the past I was a Mac keyboard user, the one with the low profile keys and it was sooo silent…
I’ve seen some mechanical ones with pretty nice clicking sounds but still the hight of the keys. I don’t know.
Opinios?
An old IBM PS/2 Keyboard is still the best ever made, other than a Wang data entry KB. You could slaughter 10 sasquatch with a slap aside of the head with one of them.

Lucky you. I lived my middle-and-high-school years in a Military Academy. Other than all guys I suppose it was okay. Typing was not optional. Nor was attendance.
O the plus side, I learned to touch-type.

I started to learn how to use more than index fingers in the military. Then after I got out it all fell into place when I was playing Asheron’s call. My buddy would be let’s go here and kill this…by the time I replied it was dead. I think it only took 2 months of, for lack of better analogy, sink or swim.

I would recommend taking a look at Logitech MX Keys. Really quiet, and low (low angle, but has feet to raise), however it is wireless and not sure if that would be a showstopper for you.
