No video or audio

Hello

I installed Dr460nized KDE Gaming Garuda linux about a month and a half ago, but in the last month I have been unable to play videos of any kind on the laptop. Sometimes, just after a reboot, videos will play properly for a few minutes. Plugging in an external USB audio card or DAC also allows videos to play correctly. What's more audio won't work at all while videos won't play. I have read the thread [Manual intervention required] Package conflict between pipewire-media-session & wireplumber and implemented the steps to remove pipewire-media-session. I would appreciate any advice or help I can get fixing this issue. Thank you.

Try performing the steps in the last comment on this thread and see if that fixes it. Don’t forget to reboot at the end also.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Unfortunately this seems to lead to various conflicts, the transaction would not complete as presented.

I believe I have found a solution to the issue I have tested it for about an hour and had no issues. I will continue to test it and return should the issue resume.

Thank you for taking the time to read my report and offer solutions!

i have the same issue with new wireplumber. i was using Garuda dr4gonized version for about 5 months but after wireplumber update i have the same issue. i have to "systemctl --user restart wireplumber" after every video i clicked.
