Yeah, I noticed that too. The KDE frameworks already got updated, Plasma version is still the same though.
Still the same but 5.27.0-1 is now in testing! Arch Linux - plasma-workspace 5.27.0-1 (x86_64)
Won't take too long.
Looks like plasma 5.27 is now in the repos!
Yea it is, but for now I'm leaving Garuda on the beta cause I just updated in Bluestar and it just sits there at reached graphical interface. Even after attempting to rollback with Timeshift.
Yup, pretty much time to push it! There is one little thing left though... anyone on KDE 5.27 yet? If yes, could you check whether the window buttons applet is working for you?
Arch must've fixed it somehow?
They did!!
What?
They did this 2 days ago, right on par with the release date.
patch -d applet-window-buttons-$pkgver -p1 < 924994e1.patch # Support Plasma 5.27
Love how Arch did it. Gotta adapt our setup, after that I'd love to merge next
@glomar_response The Filter by screen only option has been set for Window Title and Window AppMenu. Tnx a lot for this very useful suggestion!
The floating Dock however will remain defloated by default in Dr460nized.
Could you explain the logic behind keeping the dock defloated? Just so I can understand better, and make more accurate suggestions in the future?
To me, it looked way better than having it floated. The connection to the bottom kind of looks good and the icons look less squeezed together using this style. Taste is subjective though, which is why this probably an unsatisfying answer.
Nope that makes perfect sense. I'm sure my subjectiveness played into my suggestion on that front. I just like docks, what can I say? Lol
Getting the latest stuff ready, then it is about damn time
Iâm assuming Garuda id holding off on the update? I fixed Bluestar and all looks good. Just commented out the KDE beta repo in pacman.conf in Garuda and did a update but no 5.27 as of yet.
EDIT:
it just dropped.
Just updated and tried the new version of the windows button applet and it seems to be working!
EDIT: Ever since Iâve swapped out the other instance of AWC (Active Window Control) that I have on my setup for just the buttons and replaced it with this new Window Buttons Applet version, it looks like that bug Iâve had on windows like Steam crashing the UI has gone away! It was still doing it even after the KDE update on the one machine that was still having the bug at first. First post about it here: [Latte Dock] The end of an era (designing a Latte-Dock free alternative dr460nized setup) - #239 by Kayo
I had the issue. I sent a second garuda-update after and it grabbed 5.27. Maybe mirrors are slowly catching up and yours still donât show 5.27.
Hello
So I am not 100% shure if my issue is right here or not
good news first my system is in an operational state and I do not need instant help.
- I can not execute the migration script via the garuda system maintenance tool.
right clicking on it only offers Update keyring, Force hotfix upgrade, Settings and Quitt
Quitt and Update keyring do the what they are supposed to do.
in Settings everything is enabled
and Force Hotfix upgrade addresses this problem
Linux 5.16's autodefrag BTRFS regression
executing it dos not change anything.
so the option mentioned here is not part of it
Dr460nized migration info | Garuda Linux wiki
so what am I supposed to do
- also I did just execute garuda update trying to fix point one and ended up with my desktop updated to plasma 5.27
any tips
and this is my garuda-inxi

No did not change anything
You already had the -git, it just reinstalled it.
I have to validate the version number but I can't for another 3-4h.
However you can manually set everything following the blue INFO bubbles Dr460nized migration info | Garuda Linux wiki
Make sure you actually have the package garuda-dr460nized-next
installed first.
EDIT: Now that the Migration has been officially rolled out, the package name is garuda-dr460nized
