Latte dock glitch

Hello! I've been using Garuda Linux for a few months and it was working perfectly fine. Now when I login to my user, I get the KDE loading screen and then the desktop appears, but the latte dock or the start button doesnt work. And the screen is "split in half from the top" because its allowing me to use only use the middle part of the desktop.

But if I login to the guest user and then logout and login to the main user, everything works fine. Please help. I also tried booting into the LTS kernel(2nd kernel in my system) and the same glitch happens.

Have you tried booting into a good, working snapshot at all?

If not, try going back until you find one and follow this:

Hello, thanks for the reply! I tried going back using timeshift and it still does the same thing.

Did you try all your snapshots?

Follow @SGS post above and post output, please.

Yep I had 3 or so and none of them worked, and sorry for the late responses. The screen is glitched and cut into half from top so I'm using kde connect to share text with my phone

From terminal - use the private bin at the top of the page, copy the link into your reply post!

Hi,
Open terminal and run

latte-dock

If latte-dock appears and terminal says something like missing icons, just update your pc.
Else, post outcome of terminal.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I updated the system with sudo pacman - Syu and rebooted the system. Its the same thing, when I type latte-dock it gives out this output ```Icon theme "papirus" not found.
Icon theme "tela" not found.
Icon

Icon theme papirus, tela, adwaita, gnome, Ubuntu-mono, Mint-X, elementary not found.
An instance is already running!, use --replace to restart latte``` sorry the previous reply glitched on my phone

hello, i opened htop and i found that latte was using 100% cpu so i sent kill signal and typed latte-dock in the terminal and the system started working fine, when I rebooted it its back how it was

So is it working fine now?
Good.

No, that was temporary and it doesn't work after reboot

Do one thing,

sudo pacman -R latte-dock

Reboot

sudo pacman -S latte-dock && latte-dock

When I do sudo pacman -R latte-dock it says target not found so shall I try installing it?

It should be latte-dock-git

Yes, install latte-dock instead of latte-dock-git.
