FireDragon Librewolf fork πŸ‰

well … seeing that you have the bitwarden service, it would see like a good idea :stuck_out_tongue:

password managers are a must ! passwords either are unique and with >128 bit entropy or they are not passwords at all :stuck_out_tongue:

I vote for removal of canvas blocker

Well I'm not opposed to drop everything but uBlock and Dark Reader now that this is the default browser of Garuda.
Originally this wasn't the case so it might be good to adapt to our all needs :eyes:
Bitwarden would be a great idea but I guess thats another one of the addons which the wide mass doesnt use (even though I do rely on it heavily for example)

Let's make "FF pure" the default browser and Firedragon as we need it with Bitwarden, Language TL and so on?

I think that Ublock Origin, Dark Reader and ClearURLs are fine. Canvasblocker might be a problem for some, though. But idk, some people want a completely clear browser.

That's all I need

Remove seems easy for everyone who do not like it

So, basically right now we have:

"https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3798731/ublock_origin-1.37.2-an+fx.xpi",
"https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3799708/canvasblocker-1.6.1-an+fx.xpi", "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3748919/clearurls-1.21.0-an+fx.xpi",
"https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3783471/dark_reader-4.9.34-an+fx.xpi",
"https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3716637/tabliss_new_tab-2.1.0-fx.xpi"

I would be fine with dropping Canvasblocker and & Tabliss personally, the rest of those is what I would consider "core addons" for modern browsers. My personal experience is that the majority of people don't ever touch whats shipped in the browser, not talking about even adding addons themselves. The mission is providing a painless online experience, ad-less OOTB experience.
Everyone else not satisfied by the installed addons can easily remove them with a few clicks as pointed out already, shouldn't be too much of an issue

for 99.9999999999999% of the people , yes  but not for me, I have 49 profiles already :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder if the route of doing a basic firedragon package ( without addons ) and then a firedragon-garuda ( which adds the firedragon package and addons )

just an idea and asking … ( anyway I will look at how I can override the policies.json settings )

Is FireFox

No consideration can be given to individual fates.

We did that previously and a lot of people complained about not being able to remove addons as they didn't figure out it being a package pulling them. So thats not an option, we need to be able to remove from within the browser.

ok ok !!! it was just a question. makes sense ... I guess you already experienced that and saw its pro's and con's ! always good for me to learn !

I will suffer my own individual fate by myself !!

New initial setup is nice and minimalist. Still very 'secure' for 'normies' :+1:

Was there by chance a recent change in anti-fingerprinting settings? It seems Gitlab doesn't like our browser anymore (getting stuck on the "checking your browser" landing page before login).

Me too, but it work for Nico

I am not a dragon ( well ... in soccer team terms, I AM ! ) but I can access gitlab just fine. I am logged in though, could that be it ?

That’s the state I am trying to achieve. Strange it only works for some. I tried with both hardened and regular configs for FD. Works just fine in Firefox.

well .... I have good news for you !

I was trying to understand what was happening and a I logged of ! Now I cannot login again ( "Checking your browser before accessing gitlab.com." for minutes now ).
