So 2-3 times a day FireDragon will hang and eventually have to be terminated to close. All other applications continue to work normally. If I'm running journalctl -xf I just get errors like

Any ideas on what to do o figure out the hang-up or something I can monitor to catch what is causing the hang?

I ran that string through Google and it came up with numerous hits on similar strings. So the questions become; what have you done so far to resolve your problem? What have you read? What have you tried? What were the results?

So far I've tried:

Disabling extensions
Re-install FireDragon
Ran with only FireDragon open to make sure it wasn't a second application
Browsed in Private Browsing to make sure it wasn't some sort of cookie issue.

None of them resolved it. With that error I wasn't understanding how a KDE error was making only FireDragon lock up; none of the results I found seemed to be affecting web browsers.

Could you start firedragon via terminal and post eventual error messages?

Anyone have ideas on this yet? Still having the crash daily.

Looks like a lot of extensions, and a lot of javascript. Each of these extensions is like a whole other program running inside your browser. Even with 16GiB RAM there’s only so much you can expect. Consider trying to run a more minimalist configuration of Firedragon and see there is improvement.

I ran no extensions and it sill happened in earlier testing.
I tried to launch FireDragon again while it was hung-up and this is the error I got

Well that's not helpful isn't it :sweat_smile: I don't know what to tell you - mine also crashes every so often but not too often to annoy me yet. Could be there's an actual stability issue in the most recent release of Firefox, or in the build

I believe I've found a way to replicate the issue consistently if that can help with identifying the cause.:

  • Step 1: I go to this page: 3 LAYER black wool crepe MASK – swrve
  • Step 2: Click 'Add to Cart'.
  • Step 3: Now in the cart, I click back on the name of the mask to be re-directed back to the store page for the mask.
  • Step 4: Click 'Add to Cart'.
  • Step 5: Repeat.

Currently I get the hang-up until killed error every time after 1-3 times of clicking 'Add to Cart'

Hello, i had similar issues and there was another post for probably the same issue:

Disabling hardware acceleration in firedragon fixed the issue for me, though i still get the same errors when starting firedragon from commandline. All it fixed was the freezing of firedragon i got.

Ah thanks! Now that you mention it does seem to happen most often when clicking a link or launching a new tab. I'll try turning off HA

Nope that didn’t fix it for me. I still get the same crash using my “This always make it crash test”. Can you try it?

Yep. Disabling HA didn't resolve for me.

Tried it, makes my firedragon freeze even with HA disabled. HA appearently just fixed my freezes when resizing or dragging the window.
Let's hope next version will fix the issue :confused:
