looks like you have a firefox theme installed that is crashing your browser.

Lol if some css can bring the browser down you've got other issues.

The mesa warnings are more significant but with no system info it's kinda pointless to conjecture.

As always include your inxi -Faz OP

Having a similiar problem right now, Firedragon just freezes

My output looks similar.
Might me linked to FireDragon hangs and crashes - #13 by umbrachimera ,which is also fairly recent

@Xarus you don't have anything super obvious but yeah lots of reports of firedragon dying. You might want to run it with firedragon >> $HOME/Desktop/firedragon.log 2>&1 & and see if there is more useful info dumped if/when it crashes.

Firefox doesn't "crash" it just freezes and the process has to be killed manually. Resizing the Window actually makes my firedragon freeze in an instant. I have already tried running firedragon with --safe-mode flag to isolate any themes and addons that might interfere. Im Running firedragon with out of the box configuration. It started to work in that manner yesterday. Reinstalling firedragon didnt help either.

here's the output of firedragon >> ~/Desktop/firedragon.log 2>&1 &

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in the options?

Im still getting the same errormessages. But my browser doesn't freeze. At least that's a solution for now  Thanks. maybe that might also fix @diehardman 's problem, which looks quite similar.

The css errors are superficial but I had a suspicion HWA was the issue. Yeah @diehardman may have the same issues, those mesa errors point to something in the same vein.

nothing like that, its just default theme

same issue

still the same problem, instead now the youtube video lag, but thats just 15 seconds when it freezes and has to be cloesd manually

default theme? Did you disable hardware acceleration?

yes, also i removed many of my extentions

I think the firedragon was developed in house, do you know its dev? he might have more inshight on it

Well that kinda covers the basics. The only other obvious thing I can think of would be the thread count option. However you never did give you inxi -Faz output so I can't see what CPU/Drivers you have or how pertinent those mesa errors are.

It's just a rebranded firefox fork.

It worked fine really, now how can i set chromium as my default browser until this issue is fixed, should i start an issue on git?

You can if you want but you're still going to need to give your inxi -Faz and details. Just install the other browser and in its options set default. You can set that option in the DE as well but again you never gave your inxi -Faz so I have no clue what DE you're in.

Thats me, I gotta admit I currently have no idea how to debug this  Since the issues started with the latest build, I'm quite sure we can start some trial and error search here though :eyes:
I can do some builds which revert several changes introduced lately this weekend for you guys to test. By then, we will most likely also have version 95 ready - maybe that helps as well  thanks for your reports and patience!
