You are a little behind on your updates. Occasionally taking any available updates can be all that is needed to resolve an issue, in case a fix for the problem has been released. To bring your system up to date, run:
garuda-update
It will be prudent to reboot afterward, as you’ll have a kernel update in there.
Regarding your audio issue, I can’t help but be reminded of some other recent forum threads where it turned out JamesDSP was interfering with normal audio functionality:
- Media Player & Firefox Freeze Until Volume Adjusted
- Problems with sound on garuda
- Videos not playing
- Webpages/Internet lock up
In each of these threads, the solution was to disable or remove JamesDSP. If you are not currently using JamesDSP, that might be worth a shot in your case as well.
