Try using something like easyeffects or jamesdsp. Some laptops (like me) just have shit speakers and windows uses dolby to adjust them we can use easyeffects or jamesdsp or some other software you want for same.

I personally use easyeffects but fair warning easy effect alone is useless you need it’s various “optional plugins” for any effect to happen also there is sometimes a 2-3s delay specifically in YT between video and audio when starting a YT video and you need to rewind to sync stuff.

Just remember that you need to install all of easyeffects optional dependencies as well without them easyeffects is basically useless, you can’t do anything.

garuda-update -- easyeffects calf lsp-plugins-lv2 zam-plugins-lv2 mda.lv2

While installing it will ask which repository to install lv2 plugins from and will give you a bunch of choices. I will suggest going with element. Reason being it’s the most light weight of them all. With allmost no extra dependencies needed to be installed.

I am linking the preset I use, it works quite nicely for my system but I can’t guarantee for you. You can use it as a reference or a starting point if you wish or ignore it if you want.

The preset is placed in the ~/.config/easyeffects/output/ directory as a json file and you need to explicitly ask easy effects to load it the first time.

In this case have you tried to reset pipewire?

1. Remove all the configuration files in /etc/pipewire (sudo mv /etc/pipewire /tmp)
2. Reinstall pipewire support

sudo pacman -S pipewire-support

3. Restart pipewire’s systemd services.

systemctl --user enable --now pipewire.socket pipewire-pulse.socket wireplumber.service

and

systemctl --user enable --now pipewire.service

Apart from reinstalling pipewire we also want to ensure that our user belongs to the realtime group. Use garuda assistant for this.

As you can see ensure you are a part of realtime group apply changes and reboot.

If neither of these work then check,

groups $USER

does not output audio or rtkit and that it does output realtime. In simple terms ensure you are a part of realtime group and that you are not a part of audio or rtkit groups.

Also check,

cat /etc/security/limits.d/99-realtime-privileges.conf

returns,

@realtime - rtprio 98
@realtime - memlock unlimited
@realtime - nice -11

Finally also try to change kernels if none helps,

sudo pacman -S linux-lts linux-lts-headers

and then from grub advanced menu select the lts kernel to boot into
