Acer Aspire slow wifi

Hello guys, wishing you a great day.

i trie to look for some solutions to my issue, but i wasn't able to fix the issue with my slow wifi which connect and disconnect sometimes. I am not sure if it is a software issue or hardware one.

A search in the forum for this card does not provide promising results:

Anyway, you could also try checking the many suggestions that you can find for the iwlwifi driver, independently from the chip-set. E.g. a good summary is here:

Test other kernels, disable MAC address randomization, IPv6, etc. and the many iwlwifi driver options suggested in those threads.

Good luck!

Hey @Darkuni

My WIFI adapter is Intel Wi-FI 6 AX200 and also had massive issues when i first installed Garuda ( I still experience out of the blue sudden sluggishness and super slow connections from time to time )

But what really reduced it massively was disabling MAC Address Randomization

Other than that when i see shit slowing down i simply run :

systemctl restart NetworkManager

And it brings it back.. but it has happened less and less.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, i will try it out. I already have an alpha but it is not minimal like the ones i see people using LOl it has a cable and some additional stuff that are hard to carry out of home
