Well, if you want or there is interest I can contribute into the wiki stuff about HDR and how to “set-it” “use-it”

Currently there is a forum post made by me, and it got a lot of views/reads to my surprise lol.

You are unlikely to be able to play it when with Secure Boot on. For Battlefield 2042, being on Windows is also a requirement.

Were you able to play the Beta?

As to the wiki articles for Secure Boot, thanks for those, it’s rather nice we are using shim for that! Lets me run another distro on the same computer for benchmarking.

I see you open the article by saying Secure Boot doesn’t protect from physical attacks, we could maybe add to that warning that if a user is concerned they could add a password to their BIOS, as that will make it harder to enter them and tamper with Secure Boot?

You can just reset the CMOS to bypass that. The warning will stay as it currently is. SecureBoot provides no protection from physical attacks, as that was never its purpose in the first place.

Addtionally, nothing stops you from enrolling another MOK even with a bios password set.

Right, I said it would make it harder, not impossible.

The warning will stay because we do not want to give users the wrong idea about protection from physical attacks. Of course you can make things harder, but an unambiguous warning stating that this isn’t going to protect your device from being stolen or tampered with is essential to not instill a false sense of security.

Yeah, I realize the requirement is to run a dual boot with Winblows. And no i skipped the beta, last battlefield i played was 5 lol.
