What games do you play on Garuda?

I’ve lately been playing through The Ascent with a friend, having a good time with that blowing up punks and goons. But also did a little bit of deathmatch and co-op stuff in Painkiller: Hell and Damnation with a small group, been having a ton of fun playing with friends and family in general lately.

But the main thing recently was finally beating Hexen 2 after 20+ years using the Hammer of Thyrion source port, feels good to return to a childhood favourite. It’s obtuse as hell but man I really love it.

I’ve currently gotten back into The Sims 3. It runs like a charm; not sure whether it’s because of my good hardware, a possible Wine/Proton performance boost, or perhaps a combination, but I’m certainly not complaining. It runs much better now than on both my old computers, that’s for sure. Both ran Windows, but also admittedly had decent-but-lesser hardware than what I have now.

I know some people apparently have issues getting the game to run on Linux, but the initial issues that I had weren’t any that I couldn’t fix (mostly because I was being a bit of an idiot, lol).

Recently, been playing Hollow Knight : Silksong and Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

Both are excellent games I can’t recommend enough. Was thrilled E33 works straight out of the box using Proton Experimental on Steam. Can play it on Epic graphic settings, having a i7 10700, NVidia RTX3060 12Go and 32Go RAM. This game’s absolutely gorgeous and the story and gameplay are both fantastic.

Good times! -”Kharak is burning.”

Started playing “No Rest For The Wicked”.
Wow! The artstyle, the gameplay. Really enjoying it. It wouldn´t start with Proton-GE but as soon as i switched to Proton Experimental, all systems are go!

It´s kind of a Diablo/Souls mashup. It´s in EA so expect optimization issues. They recently added co-op, (up to 4 players). Works like a charm and can highly recommend for ARPG enthusiasts.

Off topic sidenote:

While playing I had an old movie “The Pink Panther” showing on my secondary monitor. VLC crashed. I ended the process. But from time to time during gameplay the last comment from the movie would replay. I had Chief Inspector Cluoseau yelling: -”How nice it is to see you!” In Peter Sellers fake french accent. That in combination with me concentrating on bloodsoaked mass slaying of mobs made me laugh so hard I shot orange juice out my nose.

I have the game since EA release. Usually I don’t buy into EA but there are two exceptions to this; Manor Lords & Moon studio games.

Both games are bangers.

If you’re into Palworld breeding, I’ve been using a breeding calculator lately and it saves a ton of time compared to doing it manually.

I’ve been playing Arc Raiders for the past few weeks. It’s a good game to pick up for couple hours a few days a week when I have friends on.

Otherwise it’s been Mewgenics and Monster Train 2.

All of these run perfectly by the way.
