There’s different stages you go through with games. You start with pacman and then work your way up to civilization when you don’t wear a watch anymore.

I got some copy paste GTA San Andreas working in Bottles. Could be a steam version before the Def Edition, idk. Had to turn off Vulkan, switch to sys-wine-10.0 and set a virtual desktop resolution to native to get the game working without the most bizzare texture issues I’ve ever seen.
Also got NFS Most Wanted (2005) running with no widescreen tho.

The work done on Garuda + Proton & Wine, make most of the games install and play. Last year I played a lot newly released AAA & AA games all of them worked out of the box without tinkering.

That’s quite alright. Gaming is Gaming. I should actually return to Super Tux Cart, I used to play it back when I was distro-hopping between Xubuntu, Lubuntu and Ubuntu MATE.

Since the servers seem to be void of people on them, I’m actually willing to play this online with someone in the Garuda community if anyone is up for it

hi,
how you installed the Need for Speed Games on lutris?Im a noob in this with Lutris. I have those games as a iso backup on my External Harddrive with orginal safed buyed Key Activations not ripped all LEGAL .If i want start the game with Lutris it asked me for the CD2 but wont work. Ive installed over playonlinux and worked but with the controller damn didnt work well.Also the graphic can be more better.I see in Lutris the script for installing but if i choose Autodetect Disk or open File Folder its still crash lol

Installer which requires 2 CDs for the game installation. Incl NoCD Patch and Widescreen Fix with working controller
On line 45, changed "SPEED2.EXE" to "speed2.exe".
ps. exit code 0 after the install exe . I added it manually but wont launch it says running for 2 sec and is off.lol

This month has been Star Ocean the second story r beautiful 2.5d game with quite a few languages fully voiced.
And Selaco a really great single player shooter with that doom/duke feel.
If you play this one put toilet cleaner in the toilet and flush. I’ll say no more.

I used the respective Lutris scripts to install them.
On step 3 you can select the third option if you want controller support. I haven’t tried that particular script.
Any changes after installation like patching the game can be done here:

i did those steps many many times. I used patches from 1.0 to 1.2 or Widescreen fixes nothing helped if i put the nocdpatch in it will start but goes off after 2 sec running like crashing.
Did you use other wine version?
( i uninstalled wine and trying also with wow64 version because can handle both 64 or 32 bit games)
Did you installed any DirectX or Frameworks?
(Still crashing if i open it like your last pic)
Did you use other Proton Settings? (system 10.3, proton custom ge, proton 8… 64x86 i have installed)
ps maybe wont launch German Language Games 
most wanted launch i can see the intro but after enter or controller it return back to lutris lol
others wont start actually i am play around with configuations.
