A question, does this one handle the installation and updates for the extensions? I've been using this one:

This is the one that I am using. You don't have to login to download them. I don't think that they will be updated automatically, but all of my extensions are up to date at the moment.

But, back on topic, I loved how on point this video got it:

It shows once an update is available and takes you to the download page when clicking on it, so kind of.

interesting video. But it really depends on how it will work. I would make something like the dissenter extension, but without the spooky stuff behind it, but if everybody could write anything here then bots and propaganda are a problem. From the other side, the mods are also biased... Also there are cases where people are so crazy that they do not even care about facts. It is hard to balance between the truth and the freedom here, as every thing can be exploited to lie.

Does anyone use IceCat (GNUzilla)? It looks solid and GNU browser should be great? GNU IceCat — Spyware Watchdog

Icecat looks like it hasn't been updated since two years ago. Is this browser still reliable?:face_with_monocle:

AUR (en) - icecat Seems so. This one actually has been requested for Chaotic and building currently.

Thank you. I referred only official site... Missed about AUR. I'll take it

I'm using Librewolf now.
Some limitations due to the very strict policy to keep maximum security, but that's fine, you get something in return of those limitations.

Works really fast.

Why using a Firefox-based browser? Well I noticed on my machine all Firefox-based browsers are the clear winners in terms of low CPU usage when streaming videos. For example if Chromium, Brave, etc. all use about 25% of CPU on a specifc video, Firefox-alike are under 20% and often around 13-15% on that same video. On the long term that makes a difference so I wanted to stay with Firefox-alike.

Just my opinion.

Personally, I've been using instead Ghostery Dawn, as an alternative to Mozilla Firefox.
Still Fenix based, and less restrictive than Librewolf (This obviously comes at a cost to a less hardened configuration and being made by a company, even if I build it from source).

Currently, still a bit "light" on features, but they are planning to integrate the Better-fox firefox configuration, which is pretty good as a compromise between performance and privacy.

I believe in itself, Mozilla doesn't worth as a "privacy fighting" foundation anymore, but being still better than Brave or Google in their acts, making me still prefer using a Fenix based browser instead, in addition of the performance gains (Yes, you heard me right).

What if we ship falkon instad of firefox

Nope, already discussed
