Fixed this by doing the same fix from several days ago for the other mirror problem… manually generated Arch Linux mirror list with website, then updated with garuda-update -a --skip-mirrorlist

I guess the mirror list problem is still not resolved?

You wouldn’t happen to have a link to the fix you used would you? I’m having the same issue.

Figured it out.

I have cancelled first run qith that wall of errors, and ran once more garuda-update
And it was fine

Want to post your fix for the rest of us? If you figure out how to fix something after you created a thread asking for help it’s considered polite to post the fix you found. This is the second time in as many days this has cropped up and I found a fix the last time without asking for help, but am unable to find that same solution, so please post your solution. Thanks

OK I found the command I used the other day but no love this time.

sudo reflector --sort age --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

EDIT:

Looks like all I had to do was close and relaunch Konsole after giving the above command. Updated perfectly.

Oh sorry… I said I used the website to generate a mirrorlist… I guess I should have been more specific. I used this link:

https://archlinux.org/mirrorlist/

Just check your locale and it will print out a list of commented out mirrors. Then you delete everything in your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and paste that in, and uncomment a few . Then as I said, you run garuda-update but with the options: -a --skip-mirrorlist

I’ll do better next time!

Nice to know thanks, bookmarked.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried both of the fixes provided in this thread and still get the error. Is this a matter of waiting for the Garuda team to fix something on their end? I can do that.

Maybe try a reboot if you haven’t yet.

Rebooted, tried garuda-update again. Same error. Tried the reflector --sort command again just as a hunch and then the update proceeded with no errors.

Be sure you delete everything out of /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist… If you run garuda-update without the skip mirrorlist option, it will put a bunch of garbage back in there and then you start the cycle over.

This is back and no matter what I do I cannot get it fixed this time.

EDIT:

took 2 reboots before it behaved, but fine once again.

The issue is back again and was fixed again. There must be a permanent fix that last more than 1 to 4 days.

I.m getting the same issue and the below is not working. I even rolled back to a snapshot from yesterday, rebooted, did upd and still this problem.

sudo reflector --sort age --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
