@dr460nf1r3 , I don't see nerd-fonts-fantasque-sans-mono anymore in the AUR.
Should we put ttf-fantasque-nerd in

?

It is always important. For example I see you have

But

Hybrids are not supported (we cannot support any possible combination of DE’s/WM’s/etc) and particularly we cannot know how they were achieved.
Although it is an old installation, so this might have occurred long ago, do you remember what you did?
bspwm is not maintained anymore, so I don’t know if we will update garuda-bspwm-settings.
I’d try a:

sudo pacman -Rdd nerd-fonts-fantasque-sans-mono && sudo pacman -S ttf-fantasque-nerd

I recall seeing something about fantasque nerd some upgrades ago but I don't remember having any problem, too bad I don't remember exactly what pacman said at the time.
I get these in my pacman.log:

[2023-01-22T12:21:23+0100] [ALPM] removed nerd-fonts-fantasque-sans-mono (2.2.2-1)
[2023-01-22T12:22:35+0100] [ALPM] installed ttf-fantasque-nerd (2.3.1-2)

actually I did not get it fully either.
Why it is both. I'm fine with just having bspwm.
but I'm to scared to just delete stuff, because I figured it may depends on something I'm not able to catch with the usual tree asking command. dependence command

I'm not using the desktop environment. and I missed to catch up with you guys to get rid of all the stuff I don't want/need.

I'll try your recommendation.

My apologies, you did nothing wrong.
I didn't remember that bspwm edition was based on xfce DE. No hybrid...

awright seem to work, not finished yet but it starts updating.

should I be worried about the warnings I mentioned earlier?

?

and is there something I can do to get rid of the UI things I'm not using?

or detect programms I won't use anyway. be sure to not crash the entire system by removing things?

best regards and thank you for the fast and usefull help

Those are only warnings and I don't think you need to worry much about them.
By-the-way, about one year ago, we moved new releases from reflector to rate-mirrors.
You may want to install it (it will replace the other) and garuda-update will use it automatically.
No need to remove anything in my opinion. Again, sorry for my confusion with the xfce release...

no problem. I got it.

I want to remove as many as possible, because I like to have just the things I really need.

Don't like the thought of garbadgeing my system. I definitely don't like the most UI programs. they are mostly confusing overloaded und irritating.

raw is better, and also command base is more direct.

how do I change them? I'll look up how to install rate-mirrors

sudo pacman -Syu rate-mirrors

List packages

pacman -Qeq

Remove you do not like

sudo pacman -R app-name

You are the only one who can know what you don't need.
When you identify a package that you think you don't need, check if it depends on something else, and if not, you can definitely remove it.
If it helps you:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman/Rosetta#Querying_package_dependencies
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman#Pactree
However bspwm is one of the lightest editions!

oh wow I figured I had to change something manually, edit some files.

I’ll try to try a simple install command first in the future

this is really nice of you.

of curse I was there before. Like I said. I didn't catch up with you about that.
It means. first I have to read by myself, what each package means.
and there are a lot.

and if I'm not sure,

because it may depends on something not mentioned by the command for check up the tree buildings.

it is in deed not as easy to see.
because of the combination of the desktop xfce and bspwm

I might break something, by rm xfce components

maybe I have to go for trial and error at some point anyways.

there will be always the latest image.
