Update-grub fails inside chroot

Basically an upgrade of the system went wrong as the .snapshots/ folder wasn’t cleaned up and I got full of disk space.

So I booted from Live iso usb and chroot inside my /root ( I have separate home and root partitions).

Then I cleaned enough space so that I could proceed with the upgrade which I did with garuda-update and then I performed a grub update just to be sure. I followed this from the forums.

But the update shows this errors and I still cannot boot:

[root@garuda-i3 /]# grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=garuda --recheck

How did you chroot?
Have you followed e.g. this tutorial?

Especially, have you mounted the right ESP to /boot/efi when inside the chroot?

Ops, sorry, I see you linked that tutorial.
Anyway, please recheck that you mounted everything correctly.
Always post full input and outpout, otherwise it is not clear what was done.

They are mostly because you are inside a chroot environment.

This is a very poor description, if you want us to find the actual problem.
If you trust my Crystal Ball :crystal_ball: , confirm that your BIOS settings have not been reset, or modified by a ghost :ghost: . Especially check that your drives are set to AHCI mode, not RAID.

If this is not enough, inspect the generated /boot/grub/grub.cfg file on the installed system, whether there are proper boot entries for Garuda.

This looks horrific ! :scream:
