I have been getting these errors for the past few days.

Honestly speaking Garuda is the only Linux Distro, in which I have seen so many errors :sweat_smile:

Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

I tried to solve this by sudo pacman -Syu --overwrite "*"
But it created further issues and I had to restore a snapshot.

Please be a little patient with me as I might not be able to reply to you immediately.
Last time the community left my post unanswered, just because I was taking some time. :cry:

Please help me rectify these errors

Right now I am stuck with Error 4
Errors 1-3 showed when I updated successfully this morning
But now this 4th error showed up only when I tried to update this afternoon, and now I am not able to update Garuda Linux at all

Interesting :eyes: this is definitely something I need to look into.

  1. can be fixed in packaging
  2. Is normal, don't worry about it
  3. Where did you face this?

Right now I am not at all able to update, (I get this error when I am updating)
I am stuck with error number 4 . (in my post)

No, its a packaging issue, caused by the recent conversation to fixed release :>

Same here...
When I remove /root/root/.config dir, update passes.
But after reboot window manager is all messed up. No window borders, no decoration, no latte, no activity panel. Just main screen with background image. Had to timeshift it few days back :frowning:

Hi there, welcome to forums.

You can restore default easily from setup assistant. Also, configs are stored in etc/skel

SO can this be used if you refpace the configs in etc/skel so you can save your own or is it just for the defaults?

Obviously, if you change configs in etc/skel, it would be changed

But it stores default configs, in case you want them.

Yap, that worked, thanks !
Although there were a few problems as the restore button was not visible and I could not resize window as window manager did not work correctly :slight_smile:
Fortunately keyboard shortcuts for manipulating windows still worked...

Wierdly enough it seems like pamac was able to do the update...

but now i have an extra option in grub to boot the the partition where / lies. really wierd hope this will get fixed :slight_smile:

A restart is required for the changes to take effect.

Just try running sudo update-grub
It might fix the issue

  1. I updated using pamac
  2. ran the command sudo rm -rf /root/root/.config/
  3. restored default from 'Garuda Assistant'
  4. ran sudo update-grub
  5. then rebooted

And everything seems to be fine now

@dr460nf1r3 though my 4th issue has been solved, my 2nd issue still persists.
