There is just one conflict left :slightly_smiling_face: :

Well that needs the AUR package updated, we don’t control this PKGBUILD :eyes:

Run sudo pacman -Syu directly to get around this.

behaves in exactly the same way sorry. Have also reviewed other qemu posts and tried the sudo pacman -R virt-manager virt-manager-meta which doesn’t work either

not working for me, giving same output as before

Remove the fancontrol-gui-git before update
sudo pacman -R fancontrol-gui-git and update the system

When update finish install fancontrol-gui-git back
I try this sudo pacman -S fancontrol-gui-git it’s not work
but i try to edit the PKGBUILD it’s work for me

  1. clone repo git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/fancontrol-gui-git.git
  2. change directory cd fancontrol-gui-git/
  3. edit PKGBUILD nano PKGBUILD or use Kate to edit
  4. change the depends to depends=('qt5-base' 'qt5-declarative' 'qt5-quickcontrols2' 'kauth5' 'kconfig5' 'kcoreaddons5' 'kdbusaddons5' 'kdeclarative5' 'ki18n5' 'knotifications5' 'kpackage5' 'kirigami2' 'lm_sensors' 'systemd') For nano : then press ctrl+s to save and ctrl+x to exit
  5. Install fancontrol-gui-git back makepkg -si

on the “stock” vm i built of garuda kde dragonized gaming (the setup assistant still hasn’t been run) removing the fancontrol-gui-git does let it update now.

can’t reinstall afterwards (garuda doesn’t control that PKGBUILD, see above)

Also facing similar weird issue after trying to install KDEN Live video editor: Garuda warned of partial upgrade so to update completely, and when trying to do so get errors:

What is the best way to proceed?

Yes, this will happen with EVERY AUR package which still has the old dependencies in place.

another person that forgot/missed the migration. it worked on 3 systems thus far, when i get home i will likely need to do this 3 or 4 more times

Any update on this one? It’s the last remaining dependency error on both my i3 and Qtile systems. Apologies for all the deleted post, first time poster just trying to get it right. Thanks for all your help.

I’d suggest switching to kvantum unless there is a specific reason you need the git one.

Seconding Nico’s recommendation as a Qtile user. No problems updating with kvantum

kvantum and kvantum-git are in conflict. Remove kvantum-git? [y/N] y

Perhaps I#m just having a bad day but I don’t seem to be able to remove kvantum-git. Any help would be graciously received.

This is the error I’m getting on Qtile, the previous one was i3. Again, it’s proving very difficult to install kvantum. As ever, any help graiiously received.
