I'm not a developer, but I guess anbox-git needs a rebuild (and/or some kind of adjustment).
I see it's trying to download as dependency
libcpufeatures-git-0.7.0+10.r279.d20220414.7fe96b1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
but in the chaotic repo I seem to see a newer version:
libcpufeatures-git-0.7.0+12.r281.d20220427.0bf4ea0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
In-fact I see the last build failed here:
https://builds.garudalinux.org/repos/chaotic-aur/logs/anbox-git.log
Am I right @dr460nf1r3 ?

Uhm, the build itself was successful (the same pkgver exists already), to me it looks like the database might be outdated rather than an actual Anbox bug
Can you try installing the package manually, to force refreshing it?
sudo pacman -Syu anbox-support

Full output is below.
Anbox now appears in the application menu,
however nothing happens after it's clicked.
β°βΞ» sudo pacman -Syu anbox-support

Did you reboot?
Maybe you need to give a look at the Arch wiki here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Anbox
And this (long!) thread:
Anbox is deprecated now as its development has stalled, and its founding developer has acknowledged this .
There are other alternatives:
Anbox Cloud (for cloud)
Waydroid (for desktop use)
You can check out our Waydroid installation guide:
The guide will be available here for any references.
While trying to get Anbox running, you would probably get stuck somewhere and find it all confusing, just like it was for me before getting it running.
I have made this guide so that it would beβ¦
Most of the things you wonβt have to do because you already have it installed, however there are a few configurations to do, services to enable, etcβ¦

Anbox-support pretty much contains all of it. @vmiimu did you reboot after completing the installation? This is required for some configs.

Yes, I have rebooted.
But still can't launch Anbox
Any other suggestions I can try?

I think this should be notified to the anbox-git maintainer in the AUR (or a rebuid on our side is enough here?).
protobuf 3.20.1-1 (dependency of anbox-git) now (since 2022-04-25) provides
libprotobuf-lite.so=31-64 , libprotobuf.so=31-64, libprotoc.so=31-64
I pushed an update, so @vmiimu you could try a complete system update and reboot to try again

Apologies I know I'm not the original thread creator but I couldn't get Anbox working either. I just did a system update and works perfectly now. Thank you dr460nf1r3

Thanks @dr460nf1r3
I ran garuda-update
then rebooted before launching Anbox
This time it launched!
However, it takes a little while to come up after "Starting..."
Then I can briefly interact with it before it shuts down and disappears on it's own.
I'm able to relaunch it with the same behavior
I tried launching the default calculator and that worked
However, I was unable to launch a Pandora APK I installed (via adb)
Any suggestions?
