Hello,
today I freshly installed Garuda for the first time, coming from Manjaro. I am having equal issues with wine and proton. When trying to launch a game, either through Lutris or through Steam, they both mark the game as running for about 30 seconds, then show it as not running again. the game window never opens and while the game is displayed as running, everything is very laggy and unresponsive. I installed wine, lutris and steam through the Garuda Gamer GUI. I already tried uninstalling everything concerning wine and reinstalling them through the GUI again. In steam I set Enable Steam Play for all other titles to true and selected Proton Experimental as the default.
I use the Gnome Version. I have an NVidia Graphics card and during installation I selected to install the proprietary drivers.

I found several posts from other people mentioning they also have problems with Steam and Wine, however those posts either got no answers or OP said they managed to resolve it without explaining how.
