Spectacle "record" doesn't work

When I manually run “Record Screen - Spectacle”.

The little “recording, click to stop” icon appears in the taskpane. But when I click it. Nothing gets saved to the output folder.

If i run spectale from the terminal and do the same thing.

I get this

spectacle

No need for sudo, we just ask about garuda-inxi

There are no secret data now in your log, I hope

lol, updates don’t fix this. Been an issue for a few months now over many updates.

im sorry to hear that isnt working did you search here in the Forum for some tipps? i dont have intel and nvidia .

i found this Topic may it helps you out .

This is caused by the libva-vdpau-driver package on Arch. Removing that should fix it.

Hey,

I saw this post but I’m not sure which part applies to me. Here are the packages i can remove. 3 in total. Thx for your help.

image

Im not a Nvidia User. this looks not to bad here leave it first..

please wait for more nvidia users i just can read and gues . I can mess up my system for any stuff but not recommended for normal user

Did you try to install the open driver?

For your graphics card, it is recommended to use nvidia-open-dkms

you have a touring card tu if i see correctly.

grafik

in terminal:

sudo pacman -S nvidia-open-dkms

Please do not post any pictures of the terminal. Please always use a code block for terminal output. Thanks.

Please leave everything as it is and post the output of:

pacman -Qs vdpau

so that we can see which relevant packages are installed.

If the package libva-vdpau-driver is displayed in the list, simply remove it with :

sudo pacman -R libva-vdpau-driver

and then reboot.
