Some applications no lauchning after new install

Hello Garuda users.

I have an issue launching Btrfs-asssitant, Garuda Boot Options, Alacritty.
Avanced users could tell me reading my inxi if I can improve some software or if my hardware is too old to run Garuda ?

I've read this topic I've found the workaroud command witch workes: sudo -E btrfs-assistant-bin usufull but fustrating.
Not found solution for Garuda Boot Options and Alacritty for now.

If you have any leads to follow... thanks

The applications (especially Alacritty) might be attempting to use Nvidia GPU and failing because no driver. Uninstall nvidia-340xx-dkms and other Nvidia related packages. pacman -Qs nvidia lists packages with “nvidia” in their name.
Reboot when there are no traces of Nvidia left.

Most likely not the root cause of your issue, anyway the last symbol means that you have not rebooted after your latest update

I don’t understand the principle of having no traces of Nvidia left. I thought, if the driver is missing that the best would be to install one…
I will follow your suggestion (I’m here to test) but if you have time for an explanation it’s most welcome. Thanx

@filo thanx for this tip about the symbol.

You are using Wayland (sway) and the Nvidia 340.xx drivers probably don’t even know what Wayland is. Also Nvidia drivers will block the open source driver. (nouveau) Not only the Nvidia drivers are not working (I don’t know why) but also nouveau is blocked so you get

No driver. I wanted you to uninstall Nvidia driver so nouveau may solve your problems.

That make sense. And you're I have installed 340.xx. So I stepped back beafore this install and pacman -Qs nvidia gives me only

local/libvdpau 1.5-1
    Nvidia VDPAU library

If I launch a pacman -R libvdpau it tells me ffmpeg needs it. Do I uninstall with dependencies ? like pacman -Rcns libvdpau ?

You can keep libvdpau.

I have installed Nouveau an dreboot but still I have N/A driver for my NVIDIA Card.
Perhapps it would be more accurate to install i3wm env...

The primary GPU is the Intel GPU, so installing NVIDIA drivers won't make any difference here.

Is there a reason you're using mesa-git ?

Thanx for your help but after two days searching around with too little results, I left Sway and installed i3wm which workes better with my old computer, at the first sight...
btrfs-assistant, garuda-boot-options, grub-setup are fonctionnal this time.
