Right now I'm split between Garuda KDE Lite and EndeavourOS lol.

btrfs and well integrated snapshots by default
some nice tools
chaotic-aur added by default
fakes vulkan support for some reason with lavapipe


problems: 
can't use doas as well as i can on endeavour.
some bloat and Garuda Welcome for some reason shows non existent entries.
not supported.

EndeavourOS pros:
minimal by default (nothing fancy going on)
can use doas effectively.
online installer
can add chaotic aur anyway.
a community that lets me say d**m for once.
Supported regardless of my setup.
can choose DE right at install time.
ext4 and btrfs are both options.


problems:
doesn't fake vulkan support for some reason with lavapipe (i dont use vulkan anyway)
probably installable anyway.

first install setup takes longer (short term thing)

IDK how to setup snapper so it works like garuda does.

of course people like SGS (missed an opportunity to have a classic doom 2 reference and call yourself ssg) are going to be biased to garuda.

triple booting windwoes, garuda and endeavourOS isn't an option cuz im not gonna reboot every our to garuda-update for Garuda and UpdateinTerminal for EndeavourOS.

and whether it's dr460n1z3d is irrelevant as I am now avoiding it at all costs, since it drains performance on my old as hell laptop that most likely has no fans like the flu drains your appetite IRL.

It was actually Latte Dock the whole time...

That's why EndeavorOS performed significantly better.

To readers from the future, Latte Dock causes these problems. And the dr460n1z3d well, dr460n1z3d stuff, to a lesser extent.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as with many other things in life. We do have minimal ISO’s for those that wish a more stripped down install. If you wish a lighter install then download and install a Lite version of Garuda. Please don’t install our heaviest offering, and then complain it is bloated, as that is just rude and insulting to the distro devs.
