Random restarts

My computer just restarts randomly. I can't pinpoint specific program. but mostly in firefox time. I don't know why. After restart everything is normal. Yes it started maybe after that update which broke the GRUB one month back

Check the temperature.

And read

please.

All TEMPERATURES are in NORMAL ZONE
CPU is generally 35 max 52 celsius
GPU 35 max 54 C
Checked it in JUST NOW
I always check frequently

I don't overclock in this PC.
It starts after an update I think or atleast increased in frequency after the update

Check your pacman.log

Use snapshot before this update.

Test 2 or 3 alternate kernels, and be sure your BIOS is up to date.

Run a garuda-update from terminal.

I update always from terminal everyday

I will test different kernel. BIOS updated

So I restore the snapshot, but my files and setting might be deleted.
Plus when I will run update from terminal, it will stat again I think
I will restore from snapshot and tell the result

We need always the newest garuda-inxi

We know that it is old, now, post the garuda-inxi from today.

If you do not answer the question, nobody can help.

We also don’t have the desire or the time to guess around.

The SNAPSHOT was switched off. I switched it on. I might have switched it off accidentally while trying to do something. I switched it on now.

Also that update broke my grub which was solved by help by booting from pendrive and updating grub. So that time it has started.

Ok duly noted about the terminal format issue and latest inxi

I made this suggestion almost 2 weeks ago. I don’t recall you ever confirming testing alternate kernels. If you have done so, which kernels have you tested? You need to provide full feedback, not just snippets of info.

  1. BIOS Update- Checked again the MSI website. No update available for BIOS
  2. Kernel- Switched back to Default Kernel from linux-hardened. 4 days and NO restart Yet
Will update again after few days
Is there any reason why I can't use my old kernel or it just happens sometime?

Still it is working

Glad to hear it @johnson. I have marked TBG’s suggestion to try another kernel as the solution.

Each kernel works differently on different hardware. The current hardened kernel version may have a bug that affects your particular stack. If you like that kernel, keep it on your system so it continues to receive updates. Give it another try when the next version is released.
