Problems installing from Snap

Is /snap a symlink to /var/lib/snapd/snap by any chance, as in this thread:

Snap - Unable to mount

sudo snap install hello-world error: cannot perform the following tasks: Mount snap "core" (9993) ([start snap-core-9993.mount] failed with exit status 1: Job failed. See "journalctl -xe" for details. Am trying to install snap so that I can in turn install "typeapp-email". Is available in Arch. Is showing installed in bauh but am unable to use it due to the above example. "mount snap failed" Any clues please. )
