Periodic network disconnecting

my wifi periodically disconnects several times per hour and immediately reconnect after a few 100 ms. I have monitored my journal ctl below is the series of events before disconnecting.

I found some users have had similar problems on other forums and they recommended switching from wpa_supplicants to iwd this did not help. switch to different wifi card(same chipset different model) to test if its a hardware issue.

Do you have any recommendations where to continue?

Hoy

That looks like something is interference it or you have a weak Wifi Signal.

Interferences why ? You also have 2 Wifi devices may one Connected and other activ too.

Did you tested to Disable them first in the Bios WLan and Bluetooth ?

what is rfkill list telling?
Which wifi signal you use 2,4 GHZ or 5GHZ?
Did it happening since when?

Take a look at this thread

I’d start disabling wifi powersave as suggested.
If necessary, i’d try also wifi5 instead of wifi6, if this is your case.
And, as always, try different kernels.

I’ve had this signal issue for about 10-15 days and I am using wifi5

I noticed the weak singal thing a little while ago, the only thing I tried to address it was adjust the orientation of the antenna.
(This is for non radio nerds, if you antenna isn’t orientation parallel to your transmitter antenna you will significantly reduce your signal strength)
It helped a little reduce the frequency of intermittent dropped wifi, but didn’t resolve it completely.

I have 2 wifi devices becuase I installed a second PCIE device to test if it was a hardware issue or a software issue. my most recent report I was connected to wifi via wlan associated with the new know good device.

here is the result of my most recent rfkill list

Thanks boss,

That config edit fixed my problem as far as I can tell. I will try doing some stress tests to see if it solved them for good.

Can we keep the thread open for one more day so I can report if this is a long running solution?

Its been pretty stable the last few days so, I think we can consider this resolved.

Thanks everyone for the help!
