Saw a thing that reminded me of a customer I had many years ago when I worked at Geek Squad.
This lovely lady was absolutely convinced that her home computer had been hacked. She wanted to know how she could prevent it. I being the excellent tech that I was asked what the symptoms were.
Well, you see I looked in the internet history and there dirty, disgusting websites with women…you know what I mean.
Ahh… So I asked about the other people that lived in the house with her. Turns out her husband and her 14 year old grandson both frequently used the computer. But “they would never look at things like that”
I suggested she let them know what she’d found, and that she change the WiFi password.

If you need to go to this extreme, maybe you need to ask yourself why you know so many untrustworthy people?

I find it interesting but only for special cases, like visually impaired people.
For me, I trust more a good password manager (and remembering a password, just one, but a good one!) than my ability to not lose USB sticks and that they don't get damaged (I don't know, I'd get anxious).

as someone that has 8 website accounts leaked in haveibeenpwned, my ubisoft account stolen ( luckly never had a cent there ), my mega account "recent activity" seems like a list of countries, receive email about my life, credit cards, net and ubber license in brazil, and also my life as a teacher in Toronto ( seriously I get pics of students in Toronto occasionally ) ( btw i am european and never crossed the atlantic ), got a ton of emails about "how last night was great" in a country i have never been in, the usual "I need help transfering my fortune from Nigeria" and my name, address and mobile was in the facebook leaks.......
I am not finding this conversation funny !

Being pawned, scammed or having private information leaked or stolen is definitely not anything to joke about. Getting "hacked" while installing Garuda is not a probable scenario, which is why some of us find it funny.
