Why bring back a topic from 4 months ago? This can be perceived as another alarm, which is obviously false.

Wow, a four-month-old clickbait video suggerating that Arch Linux is under attack, even though it only affected the AUR, which is an unofficial repository. Moved to Off Topic. Next time, this will be considered as spam and treated as such.

Obviously, you’re still on your exploit trip…

Greetings - sorry to revive this thread but i’d like to ask how make the Garuda terminal (KDE-Dragonized Edition) to display this nice little dragon icon on the right upper corner instead of the left one and make it persistent / fixed?

Thanks

You should open an Issues and Assistance topic with your garuda-inxi and a screenshot. I for one have no idea what dragon you are talking about.

Off topic question. At what volume do you set your OS? I know windows default is 67 and Linux is 40, so the median would be 53. Owning and having owned multiple vintage stereo amplifiers I noticed lower OS volume is usually better.

My laptop volume stays at 50-55 both windows and linux but I use earphones only. Speaker volume is always 0.

BTW, Our Forum has recaps too!

mines at 32 - 36% unless the content is low then I up it as needed.

I’ve seen the recap thing it’s so cool. :star_struck:

My volume is now on 53, seems to drive more evenly over a range of music genres. With jumpstyle being an exception.

I call the ā€œIncrease maximum volumeā€ or overamplification feature the ā€œSpeaker frier GUIā€ - goes to work very fast on certain laptops

Yes, you definitely don’t want to amplify your audio above 100%. Users crank it to 11, then complain the distro wrecked their speakers.

I have a background in electronics so I know cranking to 11 is just lunacy.

PA speakers have a paper surround, where HiFi speakers usually have foam, silicone-like rubber or fine string mesh.
