Mate, nuce simple DE, I love it had 3 menu buttonf (Applications, Place & System( & the theme manger was better IMO The control center wa lacking, but that was not a big deal. I have no idea why Gnome changed everything. Mate QT would be really hard right? Wow, I am serious, maybe off topic, but not silly.

I considered taking out an ad on Distrowatch to coincide with the Win 10 demise. However, dealing with another inundation of clueless Windows users is rather hard on the nerves.

There has been and continues to be incredible hype surrounding CachyOS in online gaming magazines.
Within a very short time, it has doubled the number of forum users.
Honestly, I would suspend the Calamares installation for a year and instead recommend the CLI installation.

LOL this reads like a 2 sentence horror storyā¦ Can you imagine all the folks new to linux, and then take on Arch as their first distro, coming to the forums? I mean, itās good, donāt get me wrong, but Iām not sure our group of enthusiasts is ready for that level of unofficial support and moderationā¦

I like the options in GUMP to change the look of a image, it is much better than Nvidia X server settings. Use in Manjaro, no X in Garudo, anyway that would be great. Man Nvidia bring out the settings app for wayland already, sorry for the little rant.

If they do theyād probably be like āopen-sourceā Android with proprietary Google Services bolted on to fully access the device as intended. They already started doing it by requiring a Microsoft account to be signed-in during setup.
Very likely, but that also means that once itās open source, alternative Windows-based OSs can be spun up by some enterprising good samaritan to keep those executables still functional on systems that will no longer be receiving security support from M$

I mean, I use clamavā¦ Any particular reason not to use an AV on Linux? Especially in light of the more recent exploits in AUR and NPM?
My understanding for many years is that clamav scanned almost exclusively for Windows viruses, and is used on file and mail servers.
I donāt use NPM, but can you point to where it is set out how recent AUR exploits such as the Chaos RAT insertions were detected by clamav?
