Off Topic Chit Chat - (Silliness factor 5)

No, I am talking about an actual cell phone, voice/text and data that can be installed into an M.2 slot…no Voice over IP in this case.

Completely modeled off of this Adafruit FONA 800 Shield - Voice/Data Cellular GSM for Arduino : ID 2468 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits

There is a saying/wisdom for this:
If you live like you did in the past and behave like you did in the past, it’s hard for the guys from the future to discover you.

Hi, my name is The Real Fat Shady…

You might seen me from movies like “Gone with the bugs”, “Stuck in VIM”, “Honey, I Shrunk the RAM”, “To Fast To Segfault” … and I approve this moving of the comments to the off topic

Sorry, didn’t meant to get all off topic with my original comment!

You didn’t do anything wrong - it got too off topic due to the situation, that’s all.

I like your sarcastic humor btw.

I kinda regretted the comments later on… I was kinda in a “defensive mood” (had just came from reddit… it does that to me, 99% of the time).

I really love the “Hi, I am XXX and you might have seen me in YYY” part on “The Simpsons”. Then “the really slim shaddy” just popped into my head… although that was like 25 years ago or so  I just couldn’t use it without applying a twist

Screenshotted and sent for wife to see!!! FINALLY, SOMEONE !!! Are you married ?

Yep, I’m married to Kate…she hates it when I cheat on her with nano, micro, emacs or vim.

I was forced into a relationship with nano, when I first used linux. I dumped her for vim because of the memes, after years of looking for a way out of the relationship, I met emacs. We dated got married and she introduced me to doom emacs who came with evil-vim. Now I am married to two beautifull women.

You may want to know that nano is safe with me!

I started fooling around with Emacs, because of Org Mode… cheating a 20 years or or more relationship with vim (now neovim).

I never imagined I would like Emacs so much!

But I think I got myself in trouble. What started as flirting for some Org, now… its starting to take over everything… Org Mode, Calendar, Git, Files, Music, Email…

Don’t know what to do… I am not ready to leave lazygit!

I can understand your conflict very well. I was torn for years and was so depressed that I even considered breaking it off and starting a relationship with notepad instead.

Don’t let it get that far, because there is a way out: clean up the mistakes of your past and free yourself from your old vices - leave vim and lazygit behind you.

Make the profession of faith “There is no system but GNU, and Linux is one of its kernels” three times and we welcome you to the “Church of Emacs” :orthodox_cross:

Then you are no longer a lost soul and your life is free and has meaning again :innocent:

At the end of the day facebook is malware/spyware and a virus all in one service. lol But in truth I only see this from them trying to curry favor with some people that would rather it be easier to get info on users(country). But that’s just my thoughts on it.

Who tf uses Facebook these days lol

Old people.

Back then, FB was the only way to communicate with my Indonesian friends. For many in the remote provinces, the Internet was new territory. Some believed that Facebook was the Internet itself.

Nowhere has development progressed more rapidly in the last 25 years than in South, East and Southeast Asia.

I find that offensive.

I’m so old that I’ve never registered on any social networking platform.

Bulletin boards and the newsgroups are where it’s at.
You kids and your shiny new toys, pfffft.

DeepSeek, a cheap artificial intelligence (AI) from China, has caused chip company Nvidia to suffer a record loss on the stock market. Nvidia’s market value fell by almost $600 billion on Monday after the stock closed down around 17 percent. Nvidia was still worth $2.9 trillion, but lost the title of the most valuable US company to Apple.

That simplified it way too much. nVidia and other tech giants lost over 1 TRILLION dollars due to DeepSeek that is smarter, faster, larger, uses less energy, and is cheaper to run than anything the tech giants have.

Yes, of course.

I was just talking about nVidia.

Edit: I put it in bold.
