Affinity was the only real replacement to Adobe (No subscriptions) tell the owner recently sold out to some scummy app aggregator. But the current version will work tell the end of time so its not all bad. There are some work arounds to get it to run on linux. But I haven’t tried any of the new ones. I just change my input to the mac and go.

I think i fixed the gitlab issue I had. Main directory/branch? was set to private so all the new projects i started would only allow private. Thanks for reminding me to look into it.

Is setting up a local SearXNG server difficult like does it have its own specific language you have to learn?

just spin its docker container.

$50/mo for 100/10Mb, w/ a 1TB cap. 100Mb down is plenty (I could pay over $250 for 2Gb/35Mb, plus the, “ability,” to pay extra for a higher cap…or not), but 10 up is stifling, as is a cap of 1TB in 2025. Competition is almost here, though details, aside from being fiber and having no data caps, are sparse.

Getting good search results is difficult enough. I don’t think making the search engine dizzy is going to help.

Thank you.

No beef its just a pain for lazy browsing. I personally only use it for if someone sends me a meta(facebook) link. but if i just want to go to site A an not fiddle with settings when something breaks I’d rather just use librewolf/firedragon.

Tor is good. I just want to be lazy when I browse.

Ok this is interesting news, but I would love to know what kind of a desaster to humanity uses Gnome over XFCE? :face_with_monocle: That just blows my mind away. Also, I honstly would have thought more people would be using XFCE since it seems to be so effecient

One of those disasters greets you. I like Gnome a lot better than KDE and slightly better than Cinnamon. I must have tried XFCE at some point, but I don’t recall. Does XFCE’s efficiency come at a cost, or would you say efficiency and user friendliness are fairly balanced out?
