Off Topic Chit Chat - (Silliness factor 5)

I wanted to go more in-depth with it. So here we go.

Basically I am asking. How come, an app on a phone can do whatever it wants, unless it is directly stealing money from someone and gets a pass (in the green)?

Say… electrical devices, pots and pans, home appliances need to accord to the regulations. It makes sense too. You don’t want to eat food cooked on a chemical infested pan nor do you want to be electrocuted when you using a tool at home.

So, we know that TikTok kinds are “attention seekers.” We know they are not good for the psychology & health of younger people. So why is it so that anything released on the web can be applied to our countries, to our people, without any quality control? That’s my original question.

Apps like TikTok, should get a year in testing and review before let to the public.

All this “stuff” is new but whats the point of all the science and collective wisdom when it isn’t applied anywhere, where it matters?

I’ll leave it at that.
