No option to install properitary driver Nvidia

I am trying to install drivers for my new Nvidia card, I am following this answer here:
How can i install nvidia driver However my hardware configuration menu looks like this

I don’t see any options t install anything besides the open source ones, and it’s currently running very sluggishly with what looks like no driver in the inxi menu.
Any help you can offer I’d appreciate it

My garuda-inxi

Try this:

sudo pacman -S nvidia-dkms nvidia-settings

Nvidia Settings is optional, but it is common to install it.

I was originally following that wiki and I made my system unusable.
Interestingly enough, after installing that I cannot open settings manager or hardware config. Going to try rebooting and see.
Edit: Can’t even do that. Terminal won’t open and restart button from start menu doesn’t do anything.

So any time I install something nvidia related I cannot boot my system anymore and have to restore it with a snapshot.
I’ve been trying to install this driver for 3 days, why is this so hard?

Switch to a TTY with CTRL+ALT+F2, log in, and reboot.

I don’t know, Nvidia hardware is very unstable and causes a lot of problems.

The Ctrl+alt+f2 isn’t doing anything, is there somewhere special I have to key it in? When I reboot after running those commands I get a black screen after logging in and I cannot bring up a terminal.

Maybe you are in VT2 (so try F3, or another F key).

Try logging in to a X11 session instead of Wayland. There should be an option somewhere on the login screen to change it.

Thank you, changing the session worked. It looks like now the driver is finally installed.
In summary for future people, run sudo pacman -S nvidia-dkms nvidia-settings then reboot. Then change to a x11 session from the login screen otherwise it’ll freeze.
