No Booting with Nvidia Drivers

Hello Guys,
First of all My Hardware:
i5-4460
Asus H97-Pro Gamer
GTX 1060
16GB DDR3-RAM

i am at a Point while i do not know what do...
I want to have the Nvidia Drivers. But everytime that i tried is allways the same...
If i installed it (bia Hardwareconfig) i cannot boot anymore, it stucks after Terminate Plymouth, Even Strg+alt+entf failed.
I tried this:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA
With dkms...
and this
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uvesafb

Allways the same issue, see the Garuda Logo or F8 Pressing the text and then it hang up.
I don't know what i make wrong, but it still doesnt work...
Even from Stick with propierity Drivers failed at the same Issue.... hoped it comes from not installing Garuda....

Can someone help me or give me a Link to a Tutorial to install the drivers?

So i follow the guide from you.
If i type in the comsole:
Startx
I become the message:
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error

Did you try to install like this?

I read that i allways should install with pacman/auto install, so yes. Was only the thing that python-pyxdg ans python-xdg are in conflict, so i installed pyxdg via pacman and it deinstalled xdg..

I see the xorg log:
Failed to initialize NVIDIA kernel module. Please see the system's kernel log..

And then
(EE) No devices detected.
Inxi -G shoutout the device, but driver is N/A
Where is the system kernel log?

Okay i did it on my own. I used timeshift to get the open source drivers, then i copied the command from auto install and started it on the alt+ctrl+f2 and it works...

I'm just going to tag along here because I went through a very similar experience today for NVIDIA drivers with my GTX970.

The differences for me:

  • I was unable to to Timeshift back to the open source drivers. It seemed every snapshot was broken in the same way. So I just had to do the install work from the text console.
  • The first time time I attempted to install proprietary drivers, I think the pacman run tried to delete the snapshot I was working on. My system was suddenly unusable (unable to find zsh or /usr/bin/starship) and couldn't find the kernel on reboot. I ended up having to use live Garuda's boot repair tool to get back in.

And, for the record, the manual install command was sudo pacman -S nvidia-dkms. It also told me the nvidia module wasn't installed, so I wonder if the automatic tool is somehow failing to install silently.
