Night Light and DisplayCal

hey, i have noticed something strange, i have a color calibrator and i did the calibration, so far so good but when the night light kicks in it seem that the calibration profile just stops working...

It should apply the calibration first and on top of that the blue light filter, but it doesn't... on top of that if i force the calibration profile the night light doesn't work and i have to reboot.

is there a fix for that?

Which "night light" are you using? If it's part of a DE then use that DE's colour settings to apply the profile rather than DisplayCAL.

i'm using the one in the display and monitor settings, how do i do that?

And which one is that? I have literally no idea what you have running on your system.

nothing, just the stuff that is preinstalled >.<

system settings > display and monitor > Night color (not night light)
it seems not working together with displaycal

Which is what? I have literally no idea what you installed on your system.

Garuda Gamer thing... i'm new to this linux thing... i literally haven't modified anything

You are obviously not catching the drift of what is being said here.

Without knowing the particulars of your system we can only make wild guesses. We do not have a crystal ball, and playing 50 questions gets old real fast. You need to post your system specifications as stipulated in the help request template that you ignored when you created your help request.

As per the forum guidelines/expectations please post the output of :

Just read the template.
Post in and output from terminal.
Kernel is missing.

better making an ass out of myself rather than be a passive aggressive smartass, i switched to linux 3 days ago sorry for being new i guess... i'm done here, i will ask somewhere else... it looks it's not noob friendly here

thanks for those that actually tried to help tho :stuck_out_tongue:

You read the posting template but chose to either ignore or avoid reading it altogether. You were asked by members several times to provide relevant information and, again, avoided posting it. You've wasted the time of several members with, apparently, expectations of being treated with kid gloves just because you're new. Well, being new doesn't preclude making an ass of yourself which, again, you have capably demonstrated.

New thread with more detail from the get-go:
