It might depend on what terminal you are using - it doesn't shift here (xfce4-terminal (usually drop-down (i that makes a difference?))
There are sizing and cropping and offset options which I haven't tried them all yet - maybe one of them will help?
Yes surely. Some terminal support while some do not support images.
But we must make a neofetch logo in ascii, so that it can work on every terminal.
Yes they will, but image will be larger as compared to text as far as I think. The condition will be worse on low resolution monitors, as user may even have to scroll up and down and left and right to see complete logo.
Doesn’t seem decent in my opinion.
I don't think the sizing will be a problem - it auto sizes to half the screen (terminal) width by default.
I can't say as I meant it to be for everyone - just trying stuff out as I didn't 'see' the eagle properly in the new logo as ascii. The old one was fine (to me) - but I like the look of the new one in png too!
Very nice, can you share the ascii text file?
I would also like to know how you converted image to ascii art. I know a bunch of online as well as command line tools, but not this good. It looks really nice.
The main problem is that you cannot display the logo in any size in the terminal next to the data. The display size is very small and subtleties are lost beyond recognition.

im not sure how the color populates the image,
i used a cli tool ascii-image-converter-git and used the .png you made, and after adjusting the size some this is one version i came up with and i was able to save it as a .txt and this is how it looks, ill try to make this again with no color and see if there is a difference, but i also dont have a clue what im doing and just playing around, im sure someone can make these colors stay every time
Edit:
just made this one a little smaller with better details.

in set colors, start with ${c3}-${c6}
c1+2 are the text colors if IIRC.
It is a PIN (pain in neck) work, maybe @TilliDie like it?

Just wanted to point out that you can redirect the colored ascii text to save it. With that tool, it’d be something like this:
ascii-image-converter img.jpg -C > ascii.txt
ascii.txt
should then have the ascii image with color escape codes
