Lutris/Bottles won't start

I have used Garuda Rani to install Lutris and Bottles. The install scripts are running without errors, but both apps won’t start. Double-clicking on other (installed) apps in Rani is starting them. So what is probably missing? I had some issues with Steam the last couple of weeks (with Debian based distros) and i wanted to try out something new. But first i have to get at least one of the wrappers to work to test some games.

Could you provide your garuda-inxi output? (you might just need to restart but who knows much without seeing it)

bottles has been difficult to maintain outside of the official Flatpak, as the developers keep putting code into it that is pretty Flatpak specific. There are recent comments in the AUR about having trouble running it or doing any configurations:

Also there are recent threads about it like this one: Can't get into Bottles settings

I thought i saw a subcategory, where you can add your inxi output and link to it. Can’t find it anymore. Posting as a codeblock is still awfully huge.

We have close it, an garuda-inxi from yesterday is useless

Nope, use the preformatted text </>

  • After rebooting, post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

hi

you can also open the Terminal and start Bottles and Lutris over it. you can see some errors maybe why it dont open the apps. I have both and they are working on my pc but like SGS sayed Bottles is more tricky outside the flatpack version. Did you try Heroic Launcher too for your games ? Maybe this want start
