A post on Reddit late last week reported that Antigravity, described by Google in a launch blog post from November 18 as an “agentic development platform,” took it upon itself to wipe out a user’s entire D drive, bypassing the Recycle Bin in the process, making it impossible to recover the deleted material.

But anyone planning to use the AI Agent whilst working with documents that contain confidential, sensitive or personally-identifiable data should probably seek advice as most third-party AI services have data privacy, training, and retention policies.

Microsoft’s “looming security disaster” is worse than feared. A staggering billion Windows users are at risk as the sheer scale of the task to avoid a cybersecurity cliff edge is made clear. Not a cheerful holiday season message for anyone.

Last week I reported on Dell’s surprising message, when the leading PC maker told investors and analysts that one billion PCs are still running Windows 10. That’s twice the number we thought. 500 million of those are older devices that are not eligible for the upgrade. But another 500 million can run Windows 11 — but users have said no.

I probably don’t say this often enough, but I do love these news digests, so thank you. I hadn’t heard about Affinity before (I’ll give it a spin) and I wasn’t aware of this SSD “issue”. As some commenters pointed out, most people won’t have to worry, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to know. :victory_hand:

I’m not sure if this recent review has been posted before, apologies if it has.

Very in-depth review from someone that actually seems to understand how Arch Linux and Garuda works.

Without wanting to get political… this is all purely politically motivated. There is not a single piece of evidence so far.

It would be better if these petty political quibbles were omitted from this forum.
