The Plasma X11 session will be supported by KDE into early 2027.
We cannot provide a specific date, as we’re exploring the possibility of shipping some extra bug-fix releases for Plasma 6.7. The exact timing of the last one will only be known when we get closer to its actual release, which we expect will be sometime in early 2027.

just switch to no-nvidia and be like me. Happy for years. no problems running Garuda on Wayland since first install 2 years ago!
I have been thinking of going Intel, wasn’t sure on them going out of business recently & vision issues are making me a bit depressed lately.

The Wayland implementation up to each compositor was a horrible idea as now if I develop something for say KDE KWin there is no guarantee it will work correctly in GNOME Mutter as nothing says both compositors have to support the same extensions and they can even introduce their own, the more compositors the more potential problems.
