Hopefully GRUB will be able to improve their release process as a side effect of these issues.

Called EU OS, it is not an entirely new operating system, and uses a Linux foundation based on Fedora and KDE Plasma as the desktop environment. … [T]hey could have based their project on the likes of openSUSE or even KDE’s upcoming distro, both of which are backed by Europe-based organizations, unlike Fedora, which is a US-based project.

Might be time to consider Vivaldi as a default browser for Garuda, or at least make it an option once landing on the desktop after the install. They just and Proton VPN for free and after testing it I’m very happy. Got 600 megs and according to online IP checkers am now in Seattle.

Generative AI assistants packaged up as browser extensions harvest personal data with minimal safeguards, researchers warn.

Windows and Linux are built on fundamentally different foundations. So, if you’re moving from Windows to Linux and want that transition to go well, it’s better not to focus on expecting to recreate the same experience.

Instead, think of it as stepping into a new world—one where things work differently, and often in ways that are more empowering and flexible for you as the user. That mindset shift can really make all the difference in having a smooth and successful transition.

This will certainly bring Ubuntu a few thousand new users.

By the way, enabling TPM 2.0, upgrading M$, disabling TPM 2.0, and continuing to use Garuda Linux is no problem.
M$ also starts if it absolutely has to.

You have to avoid monopolies and dependencies, but my government still hasn’t understood that, it’s all been “new territory” for 20 years.

But things will change in the next few years. Trust me

FOSS is the future.

I don’t doubt what are you saying. I have in a certain way similar conclusion.

Also I know a lot of people that due to this restriction will ask me “why I can not log into my PC?” ON which my answer will be because you need an online account.

Well they will not create an account to LOG into an OS cause a lot of these people dont like the hassle or even don’t own a proper email address…

…Plasma 6.4 features over the past few days.

The in-kernel Zstandard compression code is finally re-based against the newer upstream state that brings better performance as well as new APIs for allowing Intel QAT acceleration by Intel hardware offering QuickAssist Technology. This Zstd code is relied upon by Btrfs transparent file-system compression and other in-kernel users for compression/decompression.
