In honor of the US Govt wanting us to stop using C, I’ve decided to learn C and then C++ after that.

You might want to do yourself a favor and skip Ansi C, if you’re planning to learn C++. Unless you’d like to learn about pointers and how to treat strings as arrays of characters that need to be adressed correctly, etc.

Notable with this last minute x86 urgent fixes for Linux 6.12 – and also to be back-ported to prior kernel versions – is working around an issue with AMD Ryzen Zen 4 client processors such as the Ryzen 7000/8000 series processors when making use of virtualization that could lead to the host randomly being rebooted.

DXVK 2.5.1 is out today to fix a “major regression” as well as a few other bugs.

“crypto bros at #BlockchainCapital bought a huge stake in #BlueSky just a few weeks ago. Like these are basically the same crypto bros who just helped #ElonMusk buy Twitter. They might even be literally the same people (I strongly suspect they are but I’m too lazy to check). Either way #BlockchainCapital was co-founded by #BrockPierce, who also brought you #Tether, AKA the company that Trump’s transition team chairman manages $120 billion for.”

Therefore it looks like no pull requests from Bcachefs lead developer Kent Overstreet will be honored for the current Linux 6.13 cycle… It stops short of ejecting Bcachefs from the mainline kernel or other actions, but remains to be seen definitively if his pull requests will then be honored for Linux 6.14+ or any other caveats.
