Idk why this reminds me of Delamain’s little episode with the virus.

isn’t this news completely childish , because it is obvious that this robot’s sensors would might have failed because of which an unexpected behavior was shown ???

IMO it’s fine. Anything that isn’t totally garbage and keeps mozilla afloat I’m fine with.
Consider this: If mozilla died, firefox would slow down massively in development, becoming more buggy and less usable over time. Since mozilla actually pays their developers they have no excuse not to work on firefox.

While there are a ton of forks, none of them can keep up with new developments in the web space, and it’s always down to mozilla to adopt them. The forks just pull the changes.

There must be a reason why there are almost zero web browsers that are not backed by a company.

I guess you’re right about that. But I don’t like ads, especially Google Ads.

I totally agree. Ads are obnoxious and annoying.

But I’d rather have ads supporting FOSS than ads supporting big tech

I’d just like to thank the good people at Microsoft and Crowdstrike for the opportunity to get paid full rate (plus holiday and pension accrual) to really smash out the housework. I thought I didn’t like doing chores, turns out I just didn’t like not doing them on paid time!

Meanwhile my computers are working just fine tyvm
