Instead of a fair monthly payment, M$ only wanted to pay a lump sum of a few thousand dollars.

So good

That inhumanly patient approach, along with the technical features and sophistication of the backdoor itself, has led many in the cybersecurity world to believe that Jia Tan must, in fact, be a handle operated by state-sponsored hackers

This was certainly my first thought upon reading about the infiltrators level of sophistication and the extended timeline involved in perpetrating the hack.

This certainly doesn’t seem like the way the average hacker goes about their malicious business.

It is rather strange how this Jia Tan’s use of a Singaporean VPN reminds me of the Tiktok CEO mentioning his nationality during the online safety hearing. Just saying. I’m very much against the Tiktok ban.

I wouldn’t even begin to speculate as to who was behind this. There are so many countries involved in this kind of espionage it’s almost impossible to pin the tail on the donkey.

It’s really beginning to appear that the next world war isn’t going to involve nuclear missiles. It is far more likely to involve devastating a countries economy and infrastructure by systematic cyber attacks.

that is a mighty big crux of the situation. you are a relatively regular canuckdian citizen, the sites discussing who is responsible have to get as many people to click on their articles as possible.

If that’s true, it doesn’t matter if it’s already been posted here.

My misreading eyes read that as “canduckian” and all I could think was that you was callin’ him a Canadian-Kentuckian duck. Or something.

It wasn’t the weed, officer, I swear it wasn’t.

I can´t understand why people still use this spyware OS from Redmond if they don’t need it for work. What’s more, you even pay for it twice. Once with the purchase of the OS and then with your data. Nothing, absolutely nothing is worth using it from a private point of view.

Politicians often talk about the Internet may not being a legal vacuum. They should explain that to Gates and the other Big Players.

And analytics ai bots are scouring the threads!
Especially in the USA, after 8-10 years if heavy online censorship, hordes of deplorables jumped ship from MSM, so now it is election time and the lobby analytics grifters have lots and lots of missing data! Musk is probably getting them some of what they lost, but only a fraction. They’re probably out there scraping Zero Hedge & Bitchute comments lol.

Under the hood, FFmpeg 7.0 contains approximately 2,000 new commits from around 100 contributors, affecting more than 100,000 lines of code across roughly 2,000 files.

Not only Outlook Mail too, I bet. My work (residential school) system uses MS Enterprise w Sharepoint, MSO etc (for the azure “security”) and all of their apps come with non stop popup ai garbage helper bots interrupting the workflows non stop with distractions offering help on the stupidest UX functions any 6th grader would know how to do. Each is a form of potential spyware and security breach imo. What’s worse is that this is the PAID version! That’s how they treat their paying customers! Adobe is just one step behind in the UI ADD dept.

This tool really helps a lot! Can’t say about battery life but now my ancient 2018 Galaxy J6 is visibly faster! :star_struck:
