I'm trying to solve one small issue. When I close the lid of my laptop it does not suspend.

I've tried then to tweak the logind.conf but without any result. This is how it looks like

any other ideas?

Sorry, no.

You got (in your language)?

Since it hasn't bothered me much so far (on desktop PC), I haven't thought about it further. I just noticed it on the notebooks. Since the boot times are so short, I either leave the notebook open directly or do a shutdown.

Am grateful for any merge request on gitlab.

can you be more descriptive?
Merge request exactly on which part? what part can be tweaked?

I have no idea at the moment.

Maybe it’s the lack of swap?

Who has a solution, please post.

Please post the output of:

That looks good actually.

What happens if you run this command:

systemctl suspend

my laptop gets suspended

Are you sure it is not suspending when you close the lid? It looks like the feature is working.

Maybe you could try also with xfce4-power-manager, which should be shipped in the i3wm edition.
I really don't know how it works, I just saw a hint here

100% sure. I have the message that say it was not possible to lock the laptop the one posted in German by @SGS

Giving it a try right now. let's see. i will post the results

Not quite, it is not important to me, not necessary.
Therefore, I did not look into it further.

I know it work in Sway, but there is no hint, just type the password enter.

I will look what Hyprland do, maybe I found a solution.

i3wm

LANG=C xfce4-power-manager
Xfce Power Manager: Another power manager is already running

Seems the first maintainer use something else.

I dos not work with closing the lid but there is a keybinding in i3 config and work here.

# Lock screen
bindsym $super+l exec i3lock -i $lockScreenWallpaper

but I must check why the wallpaper doesn't work

Ok, a maintainer change the wallpaper names and remove the "-"

set $lockScreenWallpaper /usr/share/wallpapers/garuda-wallpapers/Garuda-Desert.png

Must be changed to

set $lockScreenWallpaper /usr/share/wallpapers/garuda-wallpapers/Dr460nized\ Honeycomb.png
