Latte Dock and fish stoped loading on boot after crash

Hi there. I used my PC yesterday last time and everything was ok (I didn't update or something). Today I turn on my computer, everything was as usual.

After I click on Discord icon in LatteDock, my system was deadlocked. I wait a 1 minute and then force turn off my PC with a power button. When I booted to the system one more time, everything was as usual except Latte Dock didn't start and instead of fancy fish as a terminal, I have virgin zsh.

What I have tried already without any result:

  • reboot a few time
  • load a snapshot (the last one I have from 08.01.2022)
  • update my system with update command and reboot.

Where I can find error logs or something and any thoughts about how I can restore my system?

Have you tried resetting the configs for the affected apps with Garuda Assistant.

User configs are not backed up by default in a snapshot, so if your user configs in home were corrupted they will not be restored.

A snapshot is not a complete backup. You need to take care of that aspect yourself.

Reset of fish/bash and latte configs resolved the problem :slight_smile:
Sad new - whole appearance theme was reset up :frowning:

Next time DO NOT hard power down your system. Shut it down gracefully using the magic SysRq key:
