KDE 6 repository / testing

Same here KDE Plasma 6 on Garuda looks tasty. Also Plasma 6 fixed a lot of issues I have with NVIDIA also the latest NVIDIA drivers helped…

In regards of the panels, on KDE 5 it worked ok, this issue is only related to KDE 6 of the current version. As you see there is a BUG filled hopefully they fix it soon, anyway as you said it just a visual BUG so nothing to cry about much.

Well for now I we will have to live only with 1 panel

Regards,
S.

I also would like to know it

You should remove the testing repos and run sudo pacman -Syuu to downgrade eventually updated packages from testing.

Hmm,
I see a weird behavior on NVIDIA, Wayland and KDE Plasma 6.

Some apps like steam are flickering. And same goes as well for games, they are flickering like when you are seeing twice.

Anybody had similar issue?

Ah god damm…

I think I found what is causing it

Thank you NVIDIA.

The reasoning behind this is for those coming from other non-Linux OSes are not used to switch desktop with mouse scroll and many complained, apparently, so KDE decided to switch it off.

I personally use it a lot, but I’m not, oh dear god no, coming from a non-Linux OS.

For me, KDE Plasma issues have only happened with Wayland. KDE 5 or KDE 6 no difference. Wayland was always the issue for me. On XOrg, I had no odd behaviours, but I always just suffered through all the odd behaviours of Wayland. Probably why I am not so shocked by KDE 6 + Wayland

Those silly non-Linux OS users switching to Linux! :joy:

I used to like one-click to open files and folders, not I have to double click like a schmuck :joy:

So is blur on wayland supposed to work already?
*edit:
Ok, I’ll answer myself, not yet on stable but already on the git version.

Up to this point the only thing I miss is some old plasmoids and the ability to run commands on notifications events (idk why, but they removed it on kde6)

2 posts were split to a new topic: Gamescope-git conflicting files

Gonna close this here, KDE 6 is no longer in testing so this thread isn’t relevant at all anymore.

For new issues, please create new threads in KDE so your issues are both more searchable and don’t get burried under other discussions! Thank you!
